The National Design Studio (NDS) operates ndstudio.gov as the public home of the studio. This policy explains how the site, its available submission endpoints, and its service providers handle information.

1. Information We Collect

Server logs

Cloudflare processes request and network metadata to deliver and protect ndstudio.gov. Cloudflare Workers observability records operational information about Worker requests and errors.

  • Cloudflare uses request metadata to route traffic and provide security.
  • Worker observability helps diagnose failures and monitor site operation.

Email address

If you submit your email through the footer form, we validate and store the email address you provide.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Unless you submit it through a form on this site, we do not collect:

  • Your precise location
  • Government identifiers (Social Security number, driver’s license, etc.)
  • Financial or payment information
  • Health or medical information
  • Account passwords (this site does not require an account)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Server logs: to operate the site, debug failures, and prevent abuse.
  • Newsletter email: to send the updates you signed up to receive.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

The application uses session storage for temporary project-image transition state; it does not use local storage for that feature. Cloudflare may set operational cookies when enabled edge features require them. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Third-Party Services

To run the site, we rely on:

  • Cloudflare: hosts and protects the site, processes request and network metadata, provides Workers observability, and delivers video through Stream. Public submission endpoints use IP-based rate limiting but do not enforce Turnstile.
  • First-party media: images and other site media use National Design Studio-managed hosts.

6. Data Security

  • All traffic is served over HTTPS.
  • Public submission endpoints use IP-based rate limiting without Turnstile verification.
  • Cloudflare Workers observability records operational request and error data.

7. Your Rights & Choices

  • You can browse ndstudio.gov without submitting a form.
  • No public process is established for deleting submitted records.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
